Tata AIA launches flexible Sampoorna Care – Cancer plan with 30-year premium guarantee and income support features

Tata AIA introduces Sampoorna Care – Cancer, a comprehensive policy offering flexible claim payouts, income support, and a 30-year premium guarantee to help families navigate cancer treatment disruptions.

Tata AIA Life Insurance has launched Sampoorna Care – Cancer, a policy it says is designed to do more than meet hospital bills. The plan combines cancer cover with income support, aiming to help households keep up with rent, loan payments, school fees and other routine costs while treatment and recovery disrupt work and earnings.

According to Tata AIA, the product allows claim proceeds to be taken as a lump sum, as regular income for one to five years or as a mix of both. The insurer says that flexibility is intended to match the way cancer affects family finances, since the disease can trigger long treatment cycles, repeated visits to hospital and time away from work for both patients and carers.

The policy covers both minor and major stages of cancer. Tata AIA says an early-stage diagnosis can trigger a payout of up to 25% of the sum assured or ₹10 lakh, while a major-stage diagnosis can pay up to 100% of the sum assured. A minor-stage claim does not reduce the amount available later for a major-stage claim, and the plan also includes a waiver of premium after a minor-stage diagnosis, meaning future payments may be waived while the cover continues.

The insurer says Sampoorna Care – Cancer also comes with a 30-year premium guarantee, keeping premiums fixed for that period, and the option to cover spouses under a joint policy. Tata AIA adds that customers can access discounted screening through Tata AIA Health Buddy, a feature that underscores the growing emphasis on earlier detection as well as financial protection. On its website, the company positions the product for salaried workers, self-employed professionals, single-income households and families with sizeable monthly commitments.
