India’s University Grants Commission has warned students and parents to check university credentials carefully before enrolling, after identifying 32 fake institutions operating in the country. According to UGC documents and reports carried by Indian media, the listed bodies are not recognised under the UGC Act and cannot issue degrees that are valid for jobs or further study.
