TechSparks opens as Zetwerk lifts IPO to Rs 5,012 crore

Bengaluru’s TechSparks summit turns the spotlight on India’s emerging technology order as manufacturing marketplace Zetwerk expands its IPO and sets a price band of Rs 143 to Rs 151 a share.

Bengaluru is once again at the centre of India’s technology conversation as TechSparks 2026 opens at Taj Yeshwantpur, bringing together founders, policymakers, investors, developers and corporate leaders under the banner “The New Tech Order”. The annual summit, now in its 17th edition, is being framed as more than a conference: it is a forum for debating who will shape the next phase of artificial intelligence, deep tech and digital infrastructure, and how quickly those ideas can scale. According to YourStory’s earlier preview of the event, the three-day gathering runs from October 13 to 15 and is expected to draw more than 10,000 attendees, alongside hundreds of speakers and investors.

This year’s programme reflects the breadth of India’s technology ambitions. YourStory has said the lineup includes Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu, whose remarks are expected to focus on sovereign technology and the limits of relying on imported prosperity, as well as leaders from ShareChat, Angel One, Amagi and Innovaccer discussing where India’s next competitive advantage may lie. The summit is also set to feature Karnataka’s IT and governance minister Priyank Kharge in conversation with YourStory founder and chief executive Shradha Sharma, with the discussion expected to centre on how the state can secure and regulate emerging technologies while continuing to nurture the country’s startup hub. A separate announcement on the final speaker list added voices from across business, policy, entertainment and international diplomacy, reinforcing the event’s attempt to treat technology as a broad civic and economic issue rather than a narrow sectoral one.

At the same time, one of Bengaluru’s better-known start-ups is moving closer to the public markets. Zetwerk, the manufacturing marketplace founded by Amrit Acharya and Srinath Ramakkrushnan, has set a price band of Rs 143 to Rs 151 a share for its initial public offering, according to the newsletter item carried by YourStory. The issue values the company at about Rs 25,583 crore at the upper end and has been expanded to Rs 5,012 crore, reflecting both a larger fresh issue and a significantly bigger offer for sale.

The fresh portion has been raised to Rs 2,830 crore from an earlier Rs 2,600 crore, while the share sale by existing holders has been increased to 14.45 crore shares from 9.68 crore. According to the report, early backers including Peak XV Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Accel India and Kae Capital have lifted the number of shares they plan to sell. Zetwerk’s founders will also trim their stakes, with the promoter group entity Creovate Innovation set to participate in the sell-down. Together with the TechSparks gathering, the IPO plans underline how Bengaluru’s technology ecosystem is increasingly pairing start-up ambition with public-market readiness.
