Pondy Oxides accelerates growth with new capacity plans and record quarterly results

Pondy Oxides and Chemicals reveals ambitious expansion strategy centred on higher output, downstream processing, and value-added products, backed by record quarterly financials and a target of 20% annual growth through 2030.

Pondy Oxides and Chemicals used its latest quarterly call to signal that it is still pushing hard on expansion, with management outlining a growth plan centred on higher output, more downstream processing and a bigger mix of value-added products. The company said the strategy is aimed at lifting revenue and profitability over the coming years, while also strengthening its position in lead and copper recycling and refining.

According to the analysis from Arthneeti, management is targeting 20% volume growth and a 20% compound annual growth rate in revenue and profit through FY2030. The company expects lead volumes to rise from about 100,000 tonnes in FY26 to 125,000-130,000 tonnes in FY27, while copper volumes are projected to increase from 12,000 tonnes in FY27 to 24,000-28,000 tonnes in FY28. Arthneeti said Pondy Oxides is also planning capital expenditure of INR 180-200 crore in FY27 to support capacity additions, downstream integration and new product launches.

That growth drive builds on a strong recent run. Quartr said the company posted record quarterly revenue, EBITDA and profit after tax in the first quarter of FY26, with year-on-year growth of 36%, 82% and 90%, respectively, supported by stronger production and sales in lead and copper. The same summary said the board approved the allotment of 1,962,328 equity shares following warrant conversion during the quarter. Quartr also noted that Pondy Oxides is aiming for more than 15% value growth, more than 20% revenue CAGR and EBITDA margins above 8% by 2030, underlining management’s confidence that the business can keep scaling if execution holds.
