Motilal Oswal Financial Services maintains its bullish recommendations on five key stocks including Inox Wind and Mrs Bectors Food Specialities, highlighting sector resilience and potential upside despite mixed quarterly results.
Motilal Oswal Financial Services has kept its “Buy” calls on Inox Wind, Mrs Bectors Food Specialities, G R Infraprojects, Kirloskar Oil Engines and Premier Energies after reviewing their June-quarter numbers, even though the latest set of results was uneven. The brokerage said the group still offers upside of about 16% to 30% from the prices cited in its updates.
Inox Wind drew one of the sharper trims in estimates. Motilal Oswal said the renewable-energy company’s revenue, EBITDA and adjusted profit after tax all came in below expectations, with execution delays and margin pressure continuing to weigh on the business. Still, the brokerage raised its target price to ₹92 and retained its bullish stance, pointing to a strengthening order book and improving demand in the wind sector as possible supports over time.
The more constructive calls reflected stronger operating momentum elsewhere. Motilal Oswal said G R Infraprojects delivered solid execution and remains positioned for order-book and revenue growth, while Premier Energies posted a better-than-expected quarter. Inox Wind’s own past disclosures also show how sharply results can swing in the sector: the company had reported a 93% rise in consolidated revenue and a return to profit in the quarter ended September 30, 2024.
Mrs Bectors Food Specialities and Kirloskar Oil Engines were also left on the brokerage’s buy list. Motilal Oswal’s broader industry view remains tilted towards capital goods and defence names with strong order books and structural demand, a backdrop that helps explain why it is keeping faith with selected mid-cap industrial and infrastructure stocks despite near-term earnings pressure.
