Jindal Stainless has designated August 21, 2026, as the record date for its proposed ₹3 per share final dividend for FY26, despite a slight decline in quarterly profits, signalling continued cash returns to shareholders amid market fluctuations.
Jindal Stainless has set August 21, 2026, as the record date for shareholders to qualify for its proposed final dividend of ₹3 per equity share for the year ended March 31, 2026. The payout, equivalent to 150% of the stock’s face value of ₹2, still needs approval from shareholders at the company’s next annual general meeting.
According to the company’s filing, investors whose names appear in the register of members or in depository records at the close of business on the record date will be eligible for the dividend, subject to that approval. Jindal Stainless also said the payment will be made within 30 days of the AGM, after deduction of tax at source. The notice was issued under Regulation 42 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The dividend declaration comes after a softer start to the financial year. Jindal Stainless reported a 7.8% fall in consolidated net profit to ₹769 crore in the June quarter, from ₹834 crore a year earlier, while revenue slipped 0.5% to ₹11,278 crore from ₹11,337 crore.
The company has continued to return cash to investors this year. Livemint reported that Jindal Stainless announced an interim dividend of ₹1 per share in January and a final dividend of ₹3 per share on May 4, both for the year ending March 31, 2026. That followed a final dividend of ₹2 per share for the previous year. Shares closed at ₹734.85 on August 7, up 0.32% on the day, with the stock down 7.01% over the past six months.
