Bengaluru’s Indo-MIM posts an extraordinary debut with shares soaring 82% above issue price, reflecting investor enthusiasm and robust financial performance amid one of India’s largest industrial IPOs of the year.
Indo-MIM’s strong market debut has extended into its first week on the bourses, with the Bengaluru-based precision engineering company’s shares climbing to roughly 82% above the ₹485 issue price by August 6, according to The Economic Times. The gains followed an opening-day premium of about 45%, when the stock started trading at ₹703 on the BSE and ₹700 on the NSE after listing on July 30.
The rally has drawn added attention to one of India’s larger industrial listings of the year. Indo-MIM’s ₹3,811.21 crore initial public offering combined a fresh issue of ₹499.10 crore with an offer for sale of ₹3,311.21 crore, while the company also raised ₹1,140.99 crore from anchor investors before the listing, as reported by market publications covering the deal.
Investor interest was already evident in the run-up to the debut. Business Standard said the IPO opened on July 23 and closed on July 27, with a price band of ₹461 to ₹485 a share and strong subscription levels during the offer period. Reports on the issue also said the company planned to use ₹400 crore of the fresh proceeds to repay borrowings, with the balance earmarked for general corporate purposes.
Indo-MIM’s recent financial performance has helped support the stock’s appeal. For FY2026, the company reported total income of ₹4,320.70 crore, up 28.1% from a year earlier, while profit after tax rose 25.9% to ₹533.54 crore. The company makes precision-engineered components using metal injection moulding and also offers tooling, machining, finishing and assembly, alongside technologies including investment casting, ceramic injection moulding and additive manufacturing.
