India’s market brace for a dividend bonanza from 50 companies next week

Fifty companies across various sectors in India are set to trade ex-dividend between August 17 and August 21, with payouts amounting to Rs 929.62 per share, including dividends, bonus issues and stock splits, highlighting active corporate action ahead of the important ex-dividend date.

A total of 50 companies are set to trade ex-dividend between August 17 and August 21, according to the BSE calendar, with the list spanning banks, financiers, gas companies, automakers, consumer names and other sectors. The combined declared payouts amount to Rs 929.62 per share, covering dividends, bonus issues, a stock split and a buyback, Zee Business reported. Moneycontrol has also recently tracked a series of dividend announcements across the market, from Vedanta’s ₹16 a share second interim payout to smaller distributions from Relaxo Footwears and Rail Vikas Nigam, highlighting how active the corporate-action calendar remains.

Among the larger payouts in next week’s list are the interim dividends from Page Industries at Rs 200 a share, The Yamuna Syndicate at Rs 500, SKF India (Industrial) at Rs 20 and Mahanagar Gas at Rs 18. The schedule also includes a 5:1 bonus issue for Bizotic Commercial, a 1:2 bonus issue for Organic Recycling Systems and a stock split at Kirloskar Pneumatic Company, showing that investors are not only watching cash returns but also share-count changes and capital restructuring.

For investors, the ex-dividend date is the key cut-off: anyone buying after that point is not entitled to the announced payout. That makes the August 17-21 window important for traders seeking dividend income, as well as for those tracking short-term price adjustments that often follow corporate actions.
