Hindustan Aeronautics sets record date for substantial dividend amid strong earnings growth

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd has announced August 14 as the record date for its final dividend of ₹10 per share, signalling continued investor confidence after a robust financial year and share gains.

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd has set August 14 as the record date for its final dividend for financial year 2025-26, putting the state-run defence manufacturer on course to reward shareholders again after a strong year of earnings and stock gains.

The company has proposed a dividend of ₹10 per equity share, or 200% on the face value of ₹5, subject to approval at its 63rd annual general meeting on August 28 at 3:30 pm. If shareholders approve the payout, HAL said the dividend will be paid within 30 days of the meeting. The board has also approved the appointment of M/s Murthy & Co. LLP as cost auditor for 2026-27.

The announcement comes as HAL continues to post solid financial results. For the March quarter, consolidated net profit rose 6% year on year to ₹4,196 crore, while revenue from operations increased 2% to ₹13,942 crore, according to the company’s latest results. For the full year, net profit climbed nearly 9% to ₹9,116 crore and revenue rose about 7% to ₹33,089 crore.

Investors have responded positively. On Thursday, HAL shares rose 6.22% to ₹4,934, close to their 52-week high of ₹4,978, and the stock has gained across multiple time frames over the past year. The company’s market capitalisation stood at about ₹3.29 lakh crore.
