Gold and silver prices in India saw little change on August 10, as traders monitor international economic data, US interest rate expectations, and currency fluctuations to guide their next move, according to Business Today.
Gold and silver prices in India were broadly steady on August 10, with traders watching overseas economic data, US interest rate expectations and currency moves for the next cue, according to Business Today. The report said gold futures were trading around ₹1.45 lakh per 10 grams and silver futures near ₹2.23 lakh per kilogram, even as retail rates continued to vary by city and by purity.
In the retail market, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,52,550 per 10 grams in Delhi and ₹1,52,350 in Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai. For 22-carat jewellery gold, Delhi stood at ₹1,39,850 per 10 grams, while Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai were at ₹1,39,650. Bengaluru was listed at ₹1,52,550 for 24-carat and ₹1,39,850 for 22-carat gold. Business Today said the difference reflects the usual mix of local demand, logistics and dealer pricing.
Silver also held close to recent levels. According to the report, Delhi quoted silver at ₹26,200 per 100 grams and ₹2,62,000 per kilogram, while Mumbai was slightly lower at ₹26,100 and ₹2,61,000. Bengaluru and Kolkata were both listed at ₹25,700 per 100 grams, with Hyderabad at ₹26,590 and Chennai at ₹26,300.
At leading jewellery chains, prices were mostly unchanged as well. Business Today reported that Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds both quoted ₹13,220 per gram for 22-carat gold across major states, while Tanishq listed 22-carat gold at ₹13,265 per gram. Malabar’s 24-carat rate was put at ₹14,422 per gram and Tanishq’s at ₹14,460, underlining how brand-level premiums can leave retail quotations slightly apart even when the broader bullion trend is stable.
