Four PSUs set for ex-dividend dates amid rising profits and strategic payouts in August 2026

Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Rail Vikas Nigam, NBCC, and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders announce ex-dividend dates between 17 and 20 August 2026, as their profits increase and strategic payouts are planned amidst India’s T+1 settlement cycle.

Four state-run companies, including Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Rail Vikas Nigam, NBCC and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, are due to trade ex-dividend between 17 August and 20 August 2026, according to Zee Business. Under India’s T+1 settlement cycle, investors generally need to buy shares before the ex-dividend date to qualify for the payout, meaning timing matters for anyone seeking the upcoming distributions.

HUDCO has set 17 August as the record date for its first interim dividend of Rs 1.25 a share for 2026-27, which is equivalent to 12.5% of face value. Business Standard reported that the lender and housing finance company posted a 35% rise in first-quarter net profit to Rs 851 crore for the three months to June 2026, while total income climbed to Rs 3,737 crore. The company also said the dividend will be paid after tax is deducted where required.

NBCC (India) is also on the dividend watch list, with BSE corporate action data showing an interim payout of Rs 0.15 a share and 17 August as the relevant date. Rail Vikas Nigam has fixed 18 August as the record date for a proposed final dividend for FY26, subject to approval at its annual general meeting on 25 August. If shareholders approve it, the company has said payment will follow within 30 days of the meeting.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders rounds out the list with a final dividend of Rs 4.62 a share and a relevant date of 20 August, according to BSE corporate action data. Zee Business said the defence shipbuilder’s quarterly profit rose 21.7% year on year to Rs 550 crore in the June quarter, while revenue increased 12.1% to Rs 2,943 crore. The company’s latest results also showed a sequential fall in both profit and revenue from the previous quarter.
