Seven companies received IT Park-4 space in Indore while land was allocated for data centre, lithium-cell and electronics projects across Madhya Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh used the opening day of its semiconductor summit in Indore to signal a broad push into chips, electronics and related technologies, with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav handing letters of intent to seven companies for office space at IT Park-4 and announcing a fresh wave of industrial land allocations across the state.
According to details released from the event at the Brilliant Convention Centre, the seven firms will share 44,815.67 sq ft at the Electronics Complex in Pardeshipura. The projects are expected to create 1,280 direct jobs, with the biggest allocation going to Bengaluru-based ADT Semiconductors, which plans a research and development design centre and a Maven Silicon Centre of Excellence. Other beneficiaries include firms from Hyderabad, Indore, Singapore, New Delhi, Bhopal and Ghaziabad, with proposals spanning semiconductor design, engineering support, artificial intelligence content production, inspection samples for outsourced assembly and testing, and electronics system design and manufacturing.
The government also issued land allotment letters to five companies for projects valued at Rs 9,625 crore, which it said could generate more than 4,450 direct jobs in Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior. Among the larger proposals, Cytech RE plans a 50 MW hyperscale data centre in Gwalior, while Una Eco Systems aims to build a 1.5 GWh lithium-cell manufacturing unit in Bhopal. Auriga IT Solutions is set to establish a global capability centre in Indore, and Kaynes Electronics has proposed an electronics manufacturing facility in the state capital. The combined package underscores Madhya Pradesh’s effort to position itself as a destination for advanced manufacturing as well as digital services.
The summit, which also saw memorandums of understanding exchanged with five major institutions, was framed by officials as a platform for skill development, research and industry collaboration in the semiconductor and electronics ecosystem. Other reports from the event said Yadav held one-to-one meetings with representatives of more than a dozen companies and institutions, generating additional investment proposals worth more than Rs 5,800 crore and pointing to the potential creation of over 10,000 jobs. Those discussions covered sectors including data centres, IT infrastructure, AVGC-XR, a term used for animation, visual effects, gaming and extended reality, and health-tech.
The state has been trying to build momentum around its high-tech ambitions through the Madhya Pradesh Agency for Promotion of Information Technology, which is helping coordinate investment proposals and industrial facilitation. Officials have also highlighted single-window clearances, faster approvals and round-the-clock power as part of the pitch to investors. Taken together, the announcements suggest that Indore’s semiconductor summit was not only about chips, but about widening the state’s technology base across manufacturing, design, research and digital infrastructure.
