Bright Outdoor Media eyes main board move amid strong financial growth and strategic diversification

Bright Outdoor Media, led by Yogesh Lakhani, is poised for a significant transition from the BSE SME platform to the main board, backed by robust revenue growth and diversification into digital and integrated media solutions.

Bright Outdoor Media is trying to build on a period of steady expansion as its chairman and managing director, Yogesh Jiwanlal Lakhani, turned 63 on September 25, with the company positioning itself for its next phase of growth and a possible move from the BSE SME platform to the main board. The Bombay Stock Exchange filings show Lakhani remains closely involved in the company’s corporate decisions, including its broader strategic direction.

The numbers underpinning that ambition point to a stronger business. In its latest financial disclosures, the company reported revenue from operations of 153.03 crore for FY2025-26, up from 126.75 crore in the previous year. Total income rose to 155.43 crore from 128.05 crore, while net profit increased to 24.05 crore from 19.07 crore. EBITDA, a measure of earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, climbed to 35.23 crore from 27.38 crore, suggesting improved operating performance. Advertising remained the core business, contributing 146.62 crore, while the real estate segment brought in 6.41 crore.

The company has also been widening the scope of its media operations beyond traditional hoardings. According to Bright’s annual-report material, it has expanded its LED screen network and added transit advertising and integrated media solutions that combine several communication formats. Its Bright 360-degree offering brings together outdoor, digital and activation services, reflecting a push to offer advertisers a broader package rather than a single-format sell. The annual report for 2022-23 and later filings indicate that this diversification has been part of the company’s longer-term growth plan.

The proposed transition to the main board is another step in that evolution, with the company saying the process was placed before shareholders through a postal ballot in June 2026 and remains subject to the necessary approvals. Earlier corporate filings show Bright has been building the legal and governance framework for further expansion since at least 2023, including shareholder resolutions and other board-level actions. If approved, the move would mark a significant milestone for a business that listed on the SME platform in March 2023 and is now seeking a larger market profile.
