A trader utilising automated analysis of NSE Bhavcopy data identifies stocks with strong holding intent, highlighting recent notable cases of PREMEXPLN, MGL, and KIMS amid growing use of end-of-day market analytics.
A trader on TradingQnA said they are manually compiling daily NSE Bhavcopy CSV files each evening and screening for stocks with delivery volume above 65% and turnover of at least ₹50 crore, a simple filter aimed at identifying names with stronger holding intent rather than short-term intraday churn. In the post dated August 7, 2026, the trader highlighted three names that met the screen: PREMEXPLN, MGL and KIMS.
The list showed PREMEXPLN with 87.6% delivery and turnover of ₹86.4 crore, though the share price fell 3.5%. MGL recorded 86.5% delivery on ₹60.4 crore of turnover and rose 1.4%, while KIMS posted 84.4% delivery on ₹146.4 crore of turnover and gained 0.3%. The figures were presented as a snapshot from public NSE archive data, not as a recommendation.
The Bhavcopy is the exchange’s daily official record of market activity, including price, volume, turnover and deliverable quantity, and it is typically released after the market close. Data and tools built around it are widely used by traders because they make it easier to spot end-of-day patterns, compare delivery ratios and automate screening without working directly from raw exchange files. Some platforms and utilities now also automate Bhavcopy downloads and analytics, reflecting the growing demand for quicker access to NSE end-of-day data.
