UCO Bank leverages GST data to accelerate digital microloan approval

UCO Bank has launched GST Smart, a data-driven digital lending platform using GST return information to streamline credit assessment and disbursement for small and medium-sized enterprises, enabling faster, collateral-free loans within minutes.

UCO Bank has introduced GST Smart, a digital lending tool built with ScoreMe Solutions that uses GST return data to sharpen credit assessment for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. The bank says the service is aimed at speeding up loan processing while keeping final decisions inside its existing policy, governance and approval structure.

For smaller businesses, the formal credit process is often slowed by patchy paperwork and limited financial history. GST filings can help lenders get a more regular view of sales activity and tax compliance, giving banks a fuller picture of a borrower’s operating profile. UCO Bank says the new system is intended to make that information easier to use in day-to-day lending decisions.

According to UCO Bank’s product information, GST Smart is designed to provide working capital loans of up to ₹25 lakh, with applications completed fully online and no physical document submission. The bank says the facility is collateral-free, available to eligible customers with GST and Udyam registration, and structured to support disbursement in under 15 minutes. The lender also says the scheme starts from ₹2 lakh, carries a processing charge of 0.20% of the sanctioned limit and is priced at UCO Float plus 1.95%, currently about 10%.

ScoreMe describes its platform as an API-first, AI-powered lending system that automates the loan lifecycle, combines data, workflow and risk tools, and fits into existing bank systems. The company says GST Smart is meant to move lenders away from gathering more paperwork and towards a more connected decision-making process, while still leaving room for human review where needed.
