Persistent Systems has achieved Databricks Brickbuilder specialisation for banking, financial services and insurance, highlighting its role in integrating governed AI systems amid rising regulatory and security demands in finance.
Persistent Systems said it has gained Databricks Brickbuilder specialisation for banking, financial services and insurance, a recognition that underscores its role in helping lenders and other financial firms turn scattered data into governed, production-ready artificial intelligence systems.
The award comes as banks and insurers face tighter regulation, more sophisticated fraud and rising pressure to improve customer service without weakening controls. Persistent said the aim is to help firms move beyond small-scale AI trials and towards systems that can be used across risk, fraud detection and client analysis.
The company said its approach centres on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, using tools such as Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and Mosaic AI to bring data, models and AI agents into a single governed environment. That, Persistent said, helps clients develop, test and monitor AI while keeping within security and compliance requirements.
Persistent has also been expanding its work with Databricks through sector-specific products. In a recent example, the company launched a merchant risk management and fraud detection tool built on Databricks AI, designed to support real-time decisions and reduce manual review. Persistent said it has already used Databricks in projects for a major European bank and one of Japan’s largest financial services groups.
Barath Narayanan, who leads global BFSI and Europe for Persistent, said financial institutions often hold vast amounts of fragmented data across risk, transaction and customer systems. Josh Meyer, Databricks’ global head of Brickbuilder and industry go-to-market, said Persistent stands out because it understands the business problem before turning to the platform.
