PayU and Marg ERP have partnered to embed seamless digital payment solutions within India’s pharma and small business sectors, promising faster collections, improved cash flow visibility, and automated reconciliation through Marg Pay’s integrated platform.
PayU and Marg ERP have formed a partnership to embed digital payments more deeply into the day-to-day workflows of India’s pharma distributors and small business retailers, in a move they say will make collections and reconciliation faster and less error-prone. The tie-up centres on Marg Pay, Marg ERP’s payments tool, which will use PayU’s infrastructure to bring ordering, payment collection and reconciliation into a single system.
The companies say the arrangement is intended to reduce the operational drag that often comes with manual payment tracking, particularly in sectors where transactions are frequent and working capital pressure is high. According to Marg Pay’s own platform information, the system is designed to support bill-level reconciliation, same-day settlement and 24×7 payment acceptance, while PayU says it already serves hundreds of thousands of merchants across a wide range of payment methods.
For retailers using Marg ERP, the integration will allow invoice-linked dynamic QR codes so customers can pay digitally and have the transaction matched automatically inside the software. Distributors will be able to send payment links against individual invoices, with amounts posted directly into the ERP, a process the companies say should improve cash flow visibility and reduce disputes over outstanding bills. PayU also describes similar collection products elsewhere in its business, including payment-link and invoice-payment integrations aimed at automated reconciliation.
The partnership is also expected to extend into Marg’s eRetail application, which supports B2B ordering, payments and reconciliation. In statements carried by IT Voice, Vineet Sethi, PayU’s chief growth and marketing officer, said the aim was to make financial administration more predictable, while Thakur Anup Singh, chairman and managing director of Marg ERP, said the collaboration would help businesses accept payments securely and manage accounts automatically.
