GetVantage's Rs. 63 crore funding signals shift towards embedded finance for MSMEs

Mumbai-based fintech GetVantage has secured Rs. 63 crore in a Series A1 round, boosting its capacity to expand embedded cash flow financing for small businesses through its AI-driven Capital Gateway platform amid ongoing MSME credit gaps in India.

Mumbai-based fintech GetVantage has raised Rs. 63 crore in a Series A1 funding round that blends equity and debt, a move the company says will deepen its push into embedded finance for micro, small and medium enterprises. According to the company, the fresh capital lifts its committed financing capacity to more than Rs. 700 crore and will also support work on its AI-native Capital Gateway platform.

The round was anchored by Rajeev Ahuja, the former managing director of RBL Bank, and SanRaj Group, with participation from existing backers Chiratae Ventures, Varanium Fintech Fund and VCMint. The latest deal also underscores a broader shift in the company’s positioning, from a revenue-based financing specialist to what it describes as a wider embedded cash flow financing platform for small businesses.

GetVantage said Capital Gateway is built as an API-based system that lets B2B marketplaces, e-commerce platforms and logistics providers offer financing within their merchant journeys. The company says it uses cash flow data, alternative data and predictive analytics rather than relying mainly on collateral and historical accounts, a model it argues can speed up working capital access for smaller firms that often struggle with conventional underwriting.

The funding comes as the MSME credit gap remains a persistent concern in India, where many smaller businesses still find formal credit hard to secure. GetVantage already offers business loans, term loans, merchant cash advances and cash flow-based financing, and it has also been broadening its product set with initiatives such as its Rise-Up Fund for women entrepreneurs, launched through its lending arm to support hundreds of women-led businesses. The company says upcoming partnerships with digital commerce platforms should extend embedded financing further across the country.
