Manappuram Finance has declared a ₹1 interim dividend following a 341.4% surge in Q1 net profit, supported by strong gold loan growth and branch expansion, while seeking approval for higher borrowing limits.
Manappuram Finance has declared an interim dividend of ₹1 a share, equal to 50% of face value, after posting a sharp rise in first-quarter profit for the year ending June 30, 2026. The board fixed August 17, 2026, as the record date for the payout, according to the company’s announcement.
The non-banking finance company reported consolidated net profit of ₹585 crore for the quarter, up 341.4% from ₹132 crore a year earlier. Income from operations increased 34.1% to ₹3,033 crore, while net interest income rose 25% to ₹1,759 crore. Assets under management climbed 57.2% to ₹69,635 crore, with gold loans accounting for ₹57,006 crore of that total.
The latest figures also showed continued expansion in the lender’s branch network, which reached 5,328 locations by June 30. Non-gold lending made up 18.14% of assets under management, while Asirvad Microfinance returned to profit with ₹21 crore in the quarter. Chairman and managing director V.P. Nandakumar said the business had maintained robust loan growth and stable asset quality, adding that gold loans had helped support credit growth more broadly.
Manappuram also said it is seeking shareholder approval to raise borrowing limits to ₹1 lakh crore and to fundraise through listed non-convertible debentures, bonds and commercial papers. The company has continued to pay interim dividends frequently; market trackers show it announced a ₹0.50 per share interim payout in May and earlier distributions in January, October, August, May and February of 2025 and 2026.
