Cantabil Retail India aims for ₹1,000 crore turnover with new store expansion and product diversification in FY27

Cantabil Retail India sets sights on crossing ₹1,000 crore in revenue this year, leveraging larger formats and expanding product lines to accelerate growth in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.

Cantabil Retail India is aiming to cross ₹1,000 crore in turnover in the current financial year, a milestone that would mark another step up after a record FY26 and a solid start to the new year. The apparel retailer ended the year to March 31, 2026 with revenue of ₹852.6 crore, up 18% from the previous year, while profit after tax rose 28% to ₹95.8 crore, according to company results reported by Franchise India and ICICI Direct. EBITDA for the year climbed 29% to ₹264.3 crore, with the margin improving to 31.0%.

The momentum has carried into the first quarter of FY27. According to the company’s latest update, revenue from operations rose 13% year on year to ₹178.8 crore in the June quarter, EBITDA increased 21% to ₹59.4 crore and the EBITDA margin widened to 33.2% from 30.8% a year earlier. Profit after tax grew 11% to ₹16.3 crore, while same-store sales growth was 4.04%, suggesting that established outlets continued to contribute to the expansion.

Cantabil’s growth strategy is increasingly tied to larger stores and a wider footprint. The company recently opened its biggest outlet so far in Delhi’s Karol Bagh, spanning 8,000 square feet, more than twice the size of its previous largest store. It now operates 667 stores across 9.42 lakh square feet of retail space and plans to add 80 more outlets this year, mainly in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. Scanx reported that Cantabil is also working towards 725 stores by FY27.

Deepak Bansal, whole-time director at Cantabil Retail India, said crossing ₹1,000 crore would be “a significant milestone” and a validation of the company’s strategy over recent years. He added that the shift towards larger formats was already producing encouraging results and said the brand plans to enter South India in the next financial year. Alongside menswear, which remains the core of the business, Cantabil is expanding footwear, accessories, women’s wear and kids’ wear, while also refreshing its product mix with more stretchable and wrinkle-resistant fabrics, bolder prints and more casual styles aimed at younger shoppers.
