Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav to spotlight domestic trade and inclusive entrepreneurship in 2026

The Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav, scheduled for August 2026 in New Delhi, aims to boost Indian enterprise with a focus on domestic trade, women-led businesses, youth innovation, and inclusive growth through sector-specific zones and networking opportunities.

The Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav is set to take place from August 12 to 15, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, positioning itself as a major national gathering for traders, entrepreneurs, women-led businesses, Divyang entrepreneurs and Gen-Z start-ups. Organisers say the event will serve as a broad platform for Indian enterprise, with a strong emphasis on domestic trade, market access and business networking.

According to the official event website and the India Trade Promotion Organisation, the Mahotsav will bring together traders, MSMEs, manufacturers, industry leaders, institutions and policymakers in one place. It will include sector-specific zones, buyer-seller meetings, knowledge sessions, exhibitions, conferences and investment-related discussions, with organisers framing it as a showcase for the scale and diversity of Indian business.

The Confederation of All India Traders says the event is being organised with ITPO and is aligned with wider policy themes such as Vocal for Local, Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. The association describes it as a large-scale Swadeshi showcase intended to support domestic commerce, expand exports and reduce dependence on imports.

CAIT Telangana has urged traders and entrepreneurs from the state to participate in large numbers, arguing that Telangana’s business community can use the platform to reach new customers, partners and markets. Organisers are also highlighting dedicated segments such as “Nari Vandan” for women in business, “Navachar” for young founders and a separate space for Divyang entrepreneurs, underscoring the event’s focus on inclusion as well as commerce.
