RailTel Corporation of India has announced August 13, 2026, as the record date for its proposed final dividend, highlighting its consistent payout pattern and robust financial performance ahead of its AGM scheduled for August 20.
RailTel Corporation of India has set Thursday, August 13, 2026, as the record date for its proposed final dividend, giving investors only a short window to qualify for the payout. The Navratna public sector undertaking said the dividend was recommended by its board on April 30 and will go to shareholders only after approval at the annual general meeting.
The company has proposed a dividend of ₹1.25 a share on a face value of ₹10, equal to 12.5 per cent. RailTel said the total payout would come to about ₹40.12 crore, lifting its dividend for FY26 to ₹104.30 crore, or 32.50 per cent of paid-up share capital. The 26th AGM is scheduled for August 20, 2026, at 12:30 pm, and any approved payout is due within 30 days of declaration.
The telecom and project services company has maintained a regular dividend record in recent years. Data compiled by dividend tracking sites including Goodreturns, Moneycontrol and The Economic Times show RailTel paid an interim dividend of ₹1 a share in March 2026, another ₹1 in November 2025 and a final dividend of ₹0.85 in August 2025. Those tables also show earlier payouts in 2024 and 2023, underscoring a pattern of repeated distributions.
RailTel’s latest quarterly numbers also pointed to steady top-line growth. In the first quarter, profit came in at ₹65.78 crore, little changed from a year earlier, while revenue from operations rose 20.1 per cent to ₹893.27 crore. Total income increased 20 per cent to ₹909.60 crore, and EBITDA climbed 13.6 per cent to ₹132 crore, though the margin slipped to 14.7 per cent from 15.6 per cent. Segment data showed both telecom services and project work services improved their profit before tax and interest.
