A total of 98 Indian companies are scheduled for record dates and dividend distributions this week, spanning a diverse range of sectors, with some of the largest payouts expected from companies like Industrial & Prudential Investment and Power Grid Corporation of India.
Indian equities are set for a busy week of corporate actions, with 98 companies having fixed record dates between August 10 and 14, according to NDTV Profit. The list spans names such as Indus Towers, PTC India, Gland Pharma, Godfrey Phillips India, KPIT Technologies, Bharat Electronics, Godrej Consumer Products, Power Grid Corporation of India and Hindustan Aeronautics. Under India’s T+1 settlement system, shares bought on the record date itself will not qualify for the payout, while the ex-dividend date marks the point at which a stock typically adjusts for the upcoming distribution.
The first wave comes on August 10, when Indus Towers will trade ex-dividend for a Rs 14 per share payout and PTC India for an interim dividend of Rs 23 per share. Majestic Auto has announced a final dividend of Rs 25 per share, while Styrenix Performance Materials will go ex-dividend for an interim dividend of Rs 23 per share. NDTV Profit said all four have set August 10 as the record date.
August 11 brings another sizeable batch of payouts. Godfrey Phillips India has declared a final dividend of Rs 33 per share, while Gland Pharma has announced a final dividend of Rs 20 per share. Kirloskar Industries will trade ex-dividend for a final dividend of Rs 13 per share, and Ratnamani Metals & Tubes for Rs 10 per share. The same record date also covers Castrol India’s interim dividend of Rs 6.25 per share, Sudarshan Chemical Industries’ final dividend of Rs 5, Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals’ final dividend of Rs 6 and Symphony’s interim dividend of Rs 1.
The list remains crowded on August 12. Industrial & Prudential Investment Company has announced a final dividend of Rs 120 per share, one of the larger payouts in the week, while Neelamalai Agro Industries has declared Rs 20 per share. Narmada Gelatines will trade ex-dividend for Rs 11 per share, and Voith Paper Fabrics India for Rs 10. KPIT Technologies has fixed a final dividend of Rs 5.25 per share, Uniparts India an interim dividend of Rs 9, Computer Age Management Services an interim dividend of Rs 2.50 and H.G. Infra Engineering a final dividend of Rs 2.
August 13 is set to be particularly active, with dividend declarations from Godrej Consumer Products, Power Grid Corporation of India, Bharat Electronics, Century Enka, Prestige Estates Projects, RailTel Corporation of India, The Ramco Cements and Usha Martin. Power Grid has announced a final dividend of Rs 1.25 per share, Bharat Electronics Rs 0.55, RailTel Rs 1.25 and Usha Martin Rs 3.75, while Godrej Consumer Products has declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share. NDTV Profit said the record date for this group is August 13.
The week closes on August 14 with ex-dividend dates for Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, Hindustan Aeronautics and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation. Apollo Hospitals has announced a final dividend of Rs 10 per share, HAL a final dividend of Rs 10 and HPCL a final dividend of Rs 19.25. Indian Oil Corporation has declared a final dividend of Rs 1.25 per share, Federal Bank a final dividend of Rs 1.20, REC a final dividend of Rs 1.55, NCC a dividend of Rs 2.20, RBL Bank a final dividend of Rs 1 and Sonata Software an interim dividend of Rs 1.25.
Beyond dividends, the week also includes income distributions from Indus Infra Trust, Brookfield India Real Estate Trust, Anantam Highways Trust, Bagmane Prime Office REIT and INTERISE TRUST. With so many record dates concentrated in five trading sessions, investors tracking cash returns will have plenty to watch as the market moves through mid-August.
