Sheela Foam accelerates growth with omni-channel expansion and product diversification

Sheela Foam Limited’s latest earnings reveal a strategic push into expanding product lines and strengthening distribution channels, including a focus on e-commerce and new showrooms, as it aims for sustainable long-term growth amid rising raw material prices.

Sheela Foam Limited’s latest quarterly earnings call on August 5 brought together senior executives including Chairman and Managing Director Rahul Gautam, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director Tushar Gautam, Deputy Managing Director Rakesh Chahar and Group CFO Amit Kumar Gupta, in a session hosted by Dolat Capital Markets. The meeting opened with customary remarks before management began its presentation, underscoring the company’s focus on communicating its near-term outlook to investors.

The call comes against a backdrop of a business that has been pushing to widen its product range and sharpen its distribution reach. In recent commentary analysed by Arthneeti, the company has been associated with a long-term growth ambition of about 15% a year, with management indicating that gains could be aided by firmer raw material prices. The same analysis said Sheela Foam has been working to deepen penetration through e-commerce, expand in the unorganised-to-organised market and strengthen adjacent categories such as pillows, while also seeking to retain customers won from rivals that have pulled back.

That strategy follows a period of solid operating momentum. Moneycontrol said the company’s recent quarterly numbers showed revenue of ₹1,050 crore, up 23.59% from a year earlier, while gross profit and net profit rose sharply on a yearly basis. Earlier earnings commentary, as summarised by GuruFocus, pointed to 10% year-on-year growth in mattress volumes, a plan to open about 1,000 new showrooms in the year and 66% annual value growth in e-commerce. It also noted that the integration of Carlo had already begun to generate savings, including lower logistics costs as a share of sales.
