Amazon’s latest Great Freedom Festival sale features significant discounts across smartphones, tablets, and home appliances, complemented by new finance offers and wider access for all shoppers ahead of India’s Independence Day shopping period.
Amazon’s Great Freedom Festival sale has opened with broad discounts across smartphones, tablets, headphones, laptops and home appliances, and it is available to all shoppers, not just cardholders or loyalty members. According to Gadgets 360, the event began at midnight and includes exchange bonuses, no-cost EMI plans and offers tied to eligible bank cards, making the headline discounts more attractive for buyers willing to combine promotions.
Among the deals highlighted so far, the Redmi Turbo 5 has an effective price of Rs. 35,999, down from Rs. 54,999, while the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 has been cut to Rs. 19,250 from Rs. 27,999. Gadgets 360 also reported that the OnePlus Pad 2 is available for Rs. 30,249, compared with its listed price of Rs. 47,999, underscoring how aggressively Amazon is pushing premium devices during the sale.
Amazon is also leaning on finance-linked savings to drive purchases. The company says HDFC Bank credit card users can get a 10% instant discount on eligible buys, while Amazon Pay ICICI Bank card holders can receive 5% unlimited savings. It is also promoting no-cost EMI options, exchange offers and additional Amazon Pay benefits, including cashback rewards of up to Rs. 2,000, gift vouchers and smaller savings on recharges and insurance premiums.
The wider sale follows a familiar pattern seen in previous Great Freedom Festival events, with discounts spread across televisions, wearables and appliances as well as phones and laptops. Coverage from Gadgets 360, LiveMint, FoneArena and NDTV over earlier editions showed similar bank-linked offers and category-wide markdowns, suggesting Amazon continues to use the August sale window as a major push before India’s Independence Day shopping period.
