Alpha AMC unveils India’s first centralised comparison platform for alternative investment funds (AIFs), aiming to simplify access and evaluation for high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors in the private markets.
Alpha AMC has launched what it calls India’s first dedicated comparison platform for alternative investment funds, a move aimed at bringing order to a market that has long lacked the kind of centralised research tools available to mutual fund investors. The new AIF Platform gives users a single place to review and compare SEBI-registered funds, with the company positioning it as a resource for wealthy individuals, family offices, institutional buyers and founders. Alpha AMC says the service is available on the web and through Android and iOS apps.
The platform presents funds in a standard format, allowing users to assess strategy, target returns, tenure, fees, risk profile and minimum investment requirements across SEBI’s three AIF categories. It also gathers fund houses, manager profiles, benchmark data, performance figures and regulatory disclosures into one interface. According to Alpha AMC, asset managers and fund managers can claim and verify their own profiles, reducing reliance on intermediaries and making it easier for investors to check background details and track records.
The launch also reflects Alpha AMC’s own push into India’s private markets. The firm describes itself as a SEBI-registered Category I AIF manager focused on SME growth capital and says its VentureX Fund, launched in December 2024, has a corpus of ₹1,000 crore. Alpha AMC says the fund targets businesses in areas such as technology, consumer goods, chemicals and manufacturing, while its broader AIF offering is aimed at high-net-worth investors and institutions looking for exposure to private equity, venture capital and other specialised strategies.
