Diesta integrates Kinexys Liink Confirm, a blockchain-based payee verification tool from J.P. Morgan, to streamline cross-border insurance payments, reduce errors, and enhance operational efficiency across multiple countries and currencies.
Diesta has added Kinexys Liink Confirm, a payee verification tool from J.P. Morgan’s Kinexys network, to its insurance payments platform, giving insurers, brokers and managing general agents a way to check beneficiary account details before money leaves the account. The move is aimed at one of commercial insurance’s messier back-office problems: payments that pass through several firms, currencies and banking rails, yet still depend on manual checks that can be slow and error-prone. According to Diesta, the service is already live and is designed to slot into existing finance systems rather than force firms to replace them.
That matters because insurance payments are rarely simple. Premium collection, settlements and broker distributions often involve multiple parties and cross-border transfers, which raises the risk of sending funds to the wrong account or spending staff time chasing corrections. Diesta says its platform can validate account ownership and related details across more than 70 countries through Kinexys Liink’s blockchain-based information-sharing network, which should help cut fraud risk and reduce the sort of operational friction that can delay payouts or reconciliation.
The company says this is the first integration of its kind in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for insurance finance workflows, although the broader trend is not unique to one sector. Nacha recently said Phixius and Kinexys had gone live with a multi-responder account validation network for ACH payments in the US, while ACI Worldwide has also linked Kinexys Liink Confirm into its fraud and financial crime product so banks can verify accounts within payment flows. Taken together, the deals suggest account verification is moving from a separate compliance step to something built into the payment itself.
For insurers and insurance intermediaries, the practical benefit is easier administration rather than flashy innovation. Diesta said an early deployment helped a global broker verify several thousand payee accounts across countries, currencies and account formats, allowing outdated records to be cleaned up and manual checks reduced. That could be useful for firms handling frequent claims or complex broker settlements, where even a small drop in payment errors can save time, improve customer experience and reduce expensive rework.
