India's first AI-driven agentic card redefines virtual payments at GFF 2026

Cruise Money has revealed India’s first agentic virtual prepaid card at the Global Fintech Fest 2026, offering AI-powered transaction routing and personalised financial management, pending regulatory approval.

Cruise Money has unveiled what it describes as India’s first agentic card, a virtual prepaid product that goes beyond ordinary spending limits by using artificial intelligence to decide how a payment should be routed. The preview took place at Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai, where the company said the card is designed to work through a single chat-based consent flow and to act only within the boundaries a user sets in advance.

The platform says the card is intended to turn its AI money companion into a fuller financial assistant: one that can analyse a customer’s income, bills, investments, savings goals and emergency reserves, then calculate how much is “safe to spend”. Rather than simply allowing purchases up to a fixed ceiling, the system is meant to choose the most suitable funding source for each transaction, balancing cash-flow management and rewards, depending on the user’s priorities.

According to the announcement, the card will be issued by LivQuik Technology (India) Private Limited, while M2P Fintech is providing the API infrastructure. Cruise Money said the user approves a mandate once, in conversation, setting the amount, category, validity period and approval threshold. The agent can then act on that instruction for use cases including flight and hotel bookings, grocery orders, recurring subscriptions and utility payments, while purchases that would encroach on a savings goal are meant to be stopped and returned to the user for review.

The companies behind the project are positioning it as a step towards what they call agentic commerce, but the product is still subject to regulatory approvals before a wider rollout. Cruise Money said access will be extended to waitlist members in phases. The business itself operates as an AI-first personal finance platform built on India’s RBI-regulated Account Aggregator framework, with read-only access to financial data.
