Lxme partners with Shiprocket to integrate UPI and enable digital gold rewards across India’s D2C sector

Lxme has teamed up with Shiprocket to expand its UPI payment service in India’s direct-to-consumer market, allowing shoppers to earn Digital Gold on everyday transactions and promoting financial well-being among women.

Lxme has teamed up with Shiprocket to widen the use of its UPI payment service across India’s direct-to-consumer commerce sector, a move the company says will make everyday spending a route to saving and investing. The integration is already live through Fastrr, Shiprocket’s merchant network, and gives shoppers the option to earn Digital Gold on eligible transactions.

According to the company, Lxme UPI is now available on more than 500 merchant websites, covering categories such as beauty, grocery and wider D2C retail. The appeal for merchants is that the service can be added without extra technical work, while the partnership is non-exclusive, leaving Lxme free to keep building out its network elsewhere.

Priti Rathi Gupta, founder of Lxme, said the aim is to link routine payments with longer-term financial benefits. Speaking on the partnership, she said payments are frequent but rarely help with financial well-being, and added that the Shiprocket tie-up places Lxme UPI where consumers already shop. Gaurav Mangla, chief executive of Fastrr by Shiprocket, said checkout is a crucial moment in the shopping journey and that the collaboration is intended to add more value for customers.

The move fits Lxme’s wider push to position women’s wealth creation around daily financial behaviour rather than occasional investment decisions. The company’s website describes it as a women-focused money app offering UPI, education and investment tools, while a recent Lxme-EY report, “Unlocking Her Wealth: The Untapped Economy”, said more than two-thirds of a woman’s path from financial access to durable wealth remains structurally blocked in India.
