Zorion introduces virtual USD card issuance to its platform, enabling users to spend online directly from their wallets without a separate card account, marking a shift towards more integrated digital financial services for online earners.
Zorion, a digital wallet company, has added virtual USD card issuance to its platform, widening a service that began with cross-border transfers and bank withdrawals into one aimed at routine spending. The company said the new offering is designed for digitally active users who can move money in and out of the wallet, then spend from the same balance online without relying on a separate card account.
According to Zorion’s announcement and its public materials, users can fund their wallet and create a USD-denominated virtual card inside the app for online purchases. The company says the card can be topped up in real time and that customers can issue more than one card, although its help pages also describe a one-card-per-account setup, suggesting the rollout or product rules may vary by market or by version of the service. Zorion says the card draws on the same underlying balance and transfer system as the rest of the wallet rather than a separate payments rail.
The launch fits Zorion’s broader pitch to people who work and earn online but remain poorly served by traditional banks. On its website, the company says it is built for users who want to hold and move US dollars without needing a conventional bank account, while also supporting local payment routes and withdrawals in Indonesia. Its help pages add that the virtual card is intended for subscriptions, shops and services that do not accept local cards.
Zorion said future updates will include support for Apple Pay and Google Pay, along with card freeze and unfreeze controls. The company also says access to the card programme depends on eligibility checks, know-your-customer requirements and local legal rules, underscoring that availability will not be uniform across jurisdictions.
