Dbs Bank India enhances Dbs Max to streamline multi-gateway digital payments for merchants

Dbs Bank India has upgraded its Dbs Max platform with a new digital payment management layer powered by Juspay, enabling businesses to handle multiple payment gateways more efficiently with improved resilience and simplified integration.

DBS Bank India has expanded its DBS MAX merchant collections platform with a new digital payment management layer powered by Juspay, aiming to help businesses handle a fast-growing mix of payment gateways without stitching together multiple separate integrations. According to DBS, the update is designed to improve payment resilience, streamline transaction flows and give merchants a single view of their digital collections.

The bank said the system supports intelligent routing based on merchant-set rules and real-time payment performance, allowing businesses to direct transactions across different aggregators more efficiently. A unified dashboard tracks success rates, refunds and reconciliation, which DBS says should make it easier for merchants to spot weak points in payment performance and act on them quickly.

The move comes as India’s digital payments market continues to expand rapidly, with UPI volumes rising sharply over the past decade. As businesses increasingly rely on more than one payment aggregator to cope with higher transaction loads, the bank is pitching DBS MAX as a way to reduce the technical burden of managing multiple payment relationships. DBS says merchants can add or switch between supported aggregators with relatively small technical changes, cutting integration time and effort.

Divyesh Dalal, managing director and country head for global transaction services, corporate banking, financial institutions and SMEs at DBS Bank India, said the rise in online commerce has pushed companies to look for more seamless payment journeys and better decision-making tools. Sheetal Lalwani, co-founder and chief operating officer of Juspay, said the partnership combines DBS’s banking franchise with Juspay’s payment-orchestration capabilities to create a more connected payments ecosystem. DBS also pointed to its recent recognition in awards programmes for digital banking and transaction services, underlining the bank’s wider push into corporate technology services.
