MapmyIndia Mappls and ClarityX have unveiled Geo-FI, a geo-intelligence platform designed to enhance lending decisions by integrating spatial data into underwriting, market analysis, and collections , signalling a shift towards dynamic, location-based risk assessment in India’s financial industry.
MapmyIndia Mappls and ClarityX have launched Geo-FI, a geo-intelligence platform aimed at helping banks and other financial firms use location data more effectively when making lending decisions. The companies say the system is designed to slot into existing lending technology rather than replace it, with connections available to loan origination, loan management, customer relationship management and collections systems through application programming interfaces, software development kits and spatial visualisation tools.
According to the companies, Geo-FI is built around three linked functions. Geo-Analyse is intended to help lenders spot high-potential and underserved markets by blending lender data with geocoding, address intelligence, points of interest, demographic data, affluence indicators and micro-geographic information. Geo-Check focuses on underwriting and verification by turning incomplete or unstructured addresses into coordinates and matching them against GPS-based data. That, the firms say, can help lenders assess risk at street or neighbourhood level rather than relying solely on broad postal-code filters.
Geo-Collect is aimed at collections teams, giving them geo-tagged field visit records, delinquency heat maps, spatial analytics and AI-assisted insights. The companies say this can help prioritise cases, improve deployment of field staff and refine collection routes. They also say the platform includes a continuous intelligence loop, allowing information from customer interactions, site visits and verification outcomes to flow back into the system as fresh data is captured.
Rakhi Prasad, co-founder of ClarityX, said Geo-FI brings together spatial intelligence and lending technology stacks, while Rohan Verma, joint managing director of MapmyIndia Mappls, said the platform addresses a longstanding gap by adding geographic context to credit decisions. The launch comes as India’s lending industry increasingly looks beyond static bureau scores towards more dynamic risk signals, including transaction behaviour, cash-flow data and AI-led assessment. Geo-FI will be shown at the Mappls Pavilion at Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai, scheduled for 9-11 September at the Jio Convention Centre.
