MobiKwik has upgraded its digital foreign exchange platform, now supporting six currencies including the UAE dirham, Canadian dollar, British pound, euro, and Swiss franc, facilitating seamless overseas transactions for Indian users.
MobiKwik has widened its digital foreign exchange service from a single currency to six, allowing customers to arrange overseas currency needs through its app for travel, education and other permitted purposes. The platform, which first rolled out the service with US dollars, now also supports the UAE dirham, Canadian dollar, British pound, euro and Swiss franc.
The company says users can book foreign currency, load forex cards and send money abroad through the same digital flow. Cash can still be collected at branches, while remittances can be routed through bank redirection and branch channels. Pricing is linked to live bank rates, and MobiKwik says same-day fulfilment is available where regulatory and service conditions allow.
The service is aimed at resident individuals and requires PAN and primary account holder verification. Transaction caps are set at the equivalent of $3,000 for currency notes and $10,000 for card and remittance services, with matching limits applied across the other supported currencies. According to MobiKwik, the offering sits within the Bharat Connect ecosystem and is powered by NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited in collaboration with the Clearing Corporation of India.
The expansion comes as fintech and payments firms increasingly bundle forex tools into broader consumer finance apps. MobiKwik said the move follows growth in forex activity on Bharat Connect, adding that NBBL handled forex transactions worth ₹11.19 crore in the first four months of FY2026-27. The company also introduced its foreign exchange retail service at Global Fintech Fest 2025, initially with dollar support, before broadening the product to cover six currencies.
