Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026 aims to fuel Indian startups and MSMEs with new partnership opportunities

The inaugural Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav in New Delhi seeks to connect small businesses, entrepreneurs, and investors, offering a platform to accelerate Indian enterprise and foster new commercial partnerships amid a vibrant three-day celebration of Indian industry.

Samir Modi, executive director of Godfrey Phillips India, has described the first Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav as a useful stage for Indian firms, entrepreneurs and start-ups to present their products and seek new commercial ties. Speaking about the three-day event in Business Today, Modi said the format could help businesses meet possible partners and explore distributorship arrangements, while also giving younger founders and students a closer look at established companies and new ideas. The event is being organised as a wider celebration of Indian enterprise by the Confederation of All India Traders, with the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation involved in the effort.

The expo is scheduled to run from 12 to 15 August 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Event material says it is intended as a Made-in-India business showcase centred on the MSME and trader ecosystem, bringing together small manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and distributors in one place. The official website says it is designed to create direct buyer-seller engagement, sector-specific interaction and knowledge-sharing sessions across India’s wider business network.

Rits Capital, which is partnering with the event, says Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026 is meant to connect start-ups, small and medium-sized businesses and investors. It says the gathering is expected to draw more than 10,000 visitors, alongside 500-plus exhibitors and 150-plus investors, giving participants a chance to network, raise funding and scale their businesses. ITPO has said the broader aim is to link entrepreneurs, innovators, investors and policymakers in a setting where ideas can turn into partnerships and new markets.

Modi’s remarks point to the political and commercial appeal of the exhibition, which organisers are positioning as a national platform for the diversity of Indian business. He said the initiative could benefit the wider ecosystem, particularly by exposing young people to established firms, start-ups and emerging opportunities. For organisers, the pitch is straightforward: a single venue where trade, investment and entrepreneurship can meet under one roof.
