Kalpataru Projects targets Rs 30,000 crore orders with new wins boosting FY27 outlook

Kalpataru Projects International Ltd surged after securing Rs 3,526 crore in new orders, boosting its FY27 revenue target and strengthening its presence in transmission, distribution, and building projects globally.

Kalpataru Projects International Ltd rose to an intraday high of Rs 1,387.90 on the NSE on Friday after announcing fresh orders worth about Rs 3,526 crore, a win that pushed its order intake for the year to more than Rs 11,000 crore. The latest contracts cover an industrial plant EPC project, new work in power transmission and distribution, and residential building projects.

According to the company, the domestic transmission and distribution wins formed a large part of the latest intake, while the buildings and factories division secured both an industrial EPC job and repeat business from existing residential clients. Manish Mohnot said the transmission and distribution orders reinforce KPIL’s position in a segment he described as one of the country’s fastest growing.

The update comes soon after KPIL reported first-quarter FY27 results showing net profit of Rs 310.06 crore, up more than 45% from Rs 213.62 crore a year earlier. Revenue rose nearly 4% to Rs 6,407.97 crore from Rs 6,171.17 crore. The company closed FY26 with revenue of Rs 27,143 crore and said it is executing more than 250 projects in over 30 countries.

The strong order news did not hold the stock higher through the close. KPIL shares finished at Rs 1,352.20 on the NSE, down 0.94% on the day. Separately, Sahi reported that the company is targeting more than Rs 30,000 crore of new orders in FY27, alongside 15% revenue growth and a 75 basis point improvement in profit before tax margin, underscoring a broader push to expand in buildings, factories and transmission work, particularly overseas.
