Titan’s jewellery division fuels 61% profit surge amid rising gold prices and premium demand

Titan Company reported a 61% year-on-year increase in quarterly net profit driven by robust festive demand, higher gold prices, and growing preference for organised jewellery chains, signalling resilience in India’s gold retail sector.

Titan Company reported another strong quarter, with consolidated net profit rising 61% year on year to ₹1,684 crore in the December quarter of fiscal 2026, as robust festive demand and higher gold prices lifted sales across its jewellery business. Revenue from operations climbed about 43% to ₹25,416 crore, according to company results covered by Financial Express and other market reports.

The jewellery division remained the main engine of growth, helped by stronger demand for higher-ticket pieces and continued preference for organised chains such as Tanishq, Mia, Zoya and CaratLane. Industry reports said the segment benefited from operating leverage as fixed costs were spread over higher sales volumes, while elevated gold prices supported topline growth even as underlying volume trends stayed steady.

Titan’s performance also reflected a broader shift in India’s gold market, where large branded retailers have been taking share from smaller independent jewellers by expanding their store networks and drawing more foot traffic. Earlier company updates showed customer numbers rising at a low double-digit pace and average spending increasing sharply, underscoring how premium purchases have been driving the brand’s momentum.

Investors responded positively to the numbers, with Titan’s shares climbing sharply and touching a fresh 52-week high after the earnings release, according to market coverage. The company’s latest figures suggest that jewellery demand remains resilient despite high gold prices, reinforcing Titan’s position as the country’s largest listed jewellery retailer.
