Motilal Oswal AMC reaches ₹2 lakh crore in assets, highlighting rapid growth and diversification

Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company has crossed ₹2 lakh crore in assets under management, less than two years after surpassing ₹1 lakh crore, driven by product diversification and robust SIP inflows amidst rapid industry expansion.

Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company said on Monday that its combined assets under management across mutual funds, alternative investment funds and portfolio management services crossed ₹2 lakh crore in August, marking another step in the firm’s rapid expansion in India’s savings market. The milestone comes less than two years after the business said it had first moved past ₹1 lakh crore in August 2024, underlining how quickly it has scaled across its core investing franchises.

The company has also widened its product shelf. During FY2026, it launched 18 passive mutual funds and five active funds, while adding 56.08 lakh systematic investment plans and recording SIP inflows of ₹16,479 crore. In a statement, Prateek Agrawal, managing director and chief executive of Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company, said the firm remained focused on building high-growth, earnings-focused portfolios through its QGLP investment philosophy, backed by long-term discipline and risk management.

Motilal Oswal Financial Services has said the asset management arm has been a key contributor to the group’s performance this year. In its latest earnings disclosures, the parent reported stronger profit growth across asset and private wealth management, with the asset management business posting higher earnings and faster AUM growth. The company’s earlier disclosures also showed that, as of December 31, 2025, mutual funds accounted for ₹1,36,550 crore of AUM and alternatives for ₹34,284 crore, reflecting a broadening mix as India’s mutual fund industry continues to attract steady SIP money and larger pools of long-term capital.
