Mahindra Group appoints Amit Sinha to lead its newly formed Holidays and Lifespaces division, aiming to leverage synergies as both sectors experience rapid expansion and integration.
Mahindra Group has appointed Amit Sinha to lead its newly carved-out holidays and lifespaces division, bringing together two of its faster-growing businesses under a single strategic umbrella.
The company said Sinha, who is currently managing director and chief executive of Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd., will take on the expanded role once a successor is named at the property unit. Anish Shah, Mahindra Group’s managing director and group chief executive, said the move is intended to deepen the connection between the hospitality and real estate arms and to capture operational synergies as both businesses enter a new phase of expansion.
The appointment comes after a period of strong growth at Mahindra Lifespaces. The developer reported consolidated sales of ₹1,419 crore in the first half of fiscal 2026, with residential pre-sales of ₹1,200 crore and profit after tax of ₹99 crore, a turnaround from a loss a year earlier. In the first quarter of fiscal 2027, it said consolidated sales rose 70% to ₹966 crore and residential pre-sales more than doubled to ₹925 crore.
Mahindra Holidays has also been expanding. The business said membership has climbed to more than 300,000 vacation ownership members and that it has added more than 1,700 rooms since fiscal 2020. Last year, Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Ltd. outlined plans to increase its room inventory to 10,000 by fiscal 2030, underscoring the scale of the growth ambitions now being placed under Sinha’s remit.
Before joining Mahindra Group, Sinha was a senior partner and director at Bain & Company, where he worked on strategy and performance improvement projects across industries. Mahindra says he joined the group in November 2020 and later became a member of its executive board. He was also named by Time magazine in 2023 as one of the 100 most influential climate leaders in business.
