Lighthouse Canton unveils Global Indian, a comprehensive platform designed to streamline offshore wealth management for non-resident Indians and global investors, amid surging diaspora wealth and remittance flows.
Lighthouse Canton has unveiled Global Indian, a new wealth management platform aimed at non-resident Indians and overseas investors whose finances are spread across several countries. The Singapore-headquartered investment house said the service went live on July 29, 2026 and brings together its regulated operations in Singapore, Dubai, India and the United Kingdom under one advisory framework.
The move is built around a familiar but often overlooked problem: wealthy diaspora families frequently deal with separate advisers, different custody arrangements and overlapping tax rules, leaving them without a single view of their holdings. Lighthouse Canton says Global Indian is intended to solve that fragmentation through consolidated reporting, cross-border structuring and unified oversight of compliance obligations. Sumegh Bhatia, managing director and chief executive for India and Global Indian at the firm, said that many NRI families hold significant wealth, but lose visibility because no one institution has responsibility for the whole picture.
The launch also includes a new Systematic Global Equities Fund based in GIFT City in Gujarat. Lighthouse Canton says the vehicle gives Indian residents a regulated and potentially tax-efficient route to overseas equity exposure through the International Financial Services Centres Authority regime. The firm is also leaning on Keenai, its proprietary technology platform, which it says supports portfolio analytics, lifecycle management and reporting across markets.
The wider strategy reflects growing demand for cross-border wealth solutions as the Indian diaspora expands and remittance flows remain strong. Lighthouse Canton cites Reserve Bank of India data showing inward remittances hit a record $135 billion in the 2024-25 financial year, while NRI deposits stood above $164 billion as of March 2025. The company says it now serves clients in more than 50 countries and manages over $5 billion in assets, with operations across Singapore, Dubai, London and India. It also points to a recent $40 million strategic funding round led by Peak XV Partners as support for its push into technology and regional expansion.
