India’s upcoming IPO week signals renewed investor interest in domestic market

A busy week in India’s primary market sees five major IPOs, including Dhoot Transmission and Molbio Diagnostics, reflecting a resurgence in domestic public offerings and investor confidence.

India’s primary market is set for a busy week from August 10 to August 14, with five mainboard initial public offerings opening for subscription and several more issues moving towards allotment and listing. According to Zee Business, the line-up includes Dhoot Transmission, Molbio Diagnostics, Milky Mist Dairy Food, Shiprocket and Behari Lal Engineering, underscoring renewed activity in the domestic IPO market.

Dhoot Transmission is among the most closely watched names. The Bain Capital-backed auto components maker, which has already won regulatory clearance, plans a ₹3,066.89 crore issue opening on August 10 and closing on August 12. The offer combines a fresh issue of ₹1,400 crore with an offer for sale of ₹1,666.89 crore, and the price band has been fixed at ₹829 to ₹871 a share. The Financial Express has previously reported that the company supplies original equipment makers across automotive and consumer durables, while Moneycontrol said the firm filed confidential and then updated draft papers with the Securities and Exchange Board of India before receiving approval.

Molbio Diagnostics will also open on August 10, bringing a ₹939.70 crore public offer to market. The company is best known for its Truenat platform, a portable molecular diagnostics system designed for faster testing in resource-constrained settings, and it says it serves customers in more than 90 countries. Zee Business said the IPO includes a ₹200 crore fresh issue and a ₹739.70 crore sale by existing shareholders, with listing expected on August 17 if the timetable holds.

Milky Mist Dairy Food will follow on August 11 with a ₹1,553 crore issue. The packaged food company sells value-added dairy products such as cheese, paneer, ghee and yoghurt under the Milky Mist brand, alongside ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook offerings. Its business model runs from sourcing milk directly from farmers to processing, cold-chain logistics and broad distribution, reflecting the scale it has built since its incorporation in 2014. The issue includes a large fresh component and a smaller offer for sale, with shares expected to debut on August 18.

Shiprocket and Behari Lal Engineering will open on August 12, rounding out the week’s slate. Shiprocket, which started as a shipping platform and has since expanded into fulfilment, cross-border delivery and merchant services, serves customers across 146 countries and will launch a ₹1,617.48 crore offer. Behari Lal Engineering, an integrated iron and steel manufacturer founded in 1995, makes precision-engineered products ranging from metal rolls to forging shafts and blocks; its ₹301.62 crore issue will also be closely tracked by investors looking for industrial exposure.
