Punjab-based Behari Lal Engineering announces its ₹302 crore IPO, aiming to fund expansion, equipment upgrades, and sustainability initiatives while maintaining a significant share in domestic metal roll demand and export markets.
Behari Lal Engineering, a Punjab-based maker of iron and steel products, has set the price band for its ₹302 crore initial public offering at ₹271 to ₹285 a share, with the issue opening on August 12 and closing on August 14, according to Deccan Chronicle. The company, which is based in Gobindgarh, supplies customised engineering solutions and counts metal rolls, engineering castings, alloy steel products and forging ingots among its main lines of business.
The offering combines a fresh issue of shares worth ₹93 crore with an offer for sale of more than 73.20 lakh equity shares by promoters and SG Tech Engineering, a selling shareholder, the report said. Proceeds from the new shares are earmarked for equipment purchases, civil work at the company’s manufacturing units 1 and 2 in Mandi Gobindgarh and the installation of rooftop solar panels at unit 1.
Deccan Chronicle said Behari Lal Engineering is among India’s largest producers of metal rolls, meeting about 10% to 11.5% of domestic demand. It also exports precision engineering components to 21 countries, including the US, Germany, France, Brazil, Finland and the UAE. IPO-focused platforms say the company filed draft papers last year and appointed Systematix Corporate Services and Emkay Global Financial Services as book-running lead managers, while financial summaries point to annualised FY26 revenue of ₹507.91 crore and profit after tax of ₹52.95 crore.
