Zen Technologies’ September-quarter revenue nearly doubles as order book reaches ₹1,376 crore

The Hyderabad-based group’s revenue from operations rose to ₹345.1 crore, while profit attributable to shareholders climbed 50.7% year on year to ₹89.5 crore.

Zen Technologies reported a sharp rise in quarterly profit and revenue for the three months to 30 September 2026, helped by stronger operations and a much larger order book, according to the company’s unaudited filing with the stock exchanges on 31 October. The Hyderabad-based defence technology group said consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders climbed 50.7% year on year to ₹89.5 crore, while revenue from operations almost doubled to ₹345.1 crore from ₹173.6 crore a year earlier. Total consolidated income rose to ₹361.8 crore from ₹198.9 crore.

The filing showed that total consolidated net profit reached ₹101.9 crore in the quarter, compared with ₹61.9 crore in the same period last year, with the balance after minority interests accounted for by non-controlling shareholders. Profit before tax increased to ₹137.7 crore from ₹83.1 crore, while expenses rose to ₹223 crore from ₹116.6 crore as the business scaled up. Basic earnings per share improved to ₹9.97 from ₹6.61 a year earlier.

On a sequential basis, the September quarter was even stronger, with profit attributable to shareholders up 159.8% from the June quarter and revenue up 143.7%. For the six months to 30 September, revenue climbed to ₹486.8 crore from ₹331.8 crore in the same period last year, while profit attributable to shareholders rose 15.7% to ₹124 crore. The company said its outstanding order book stood at ₹1,375.70 crore at the end of September, underscoring the demand pipeline for its defence and homeland security products.

Beyond the earnings figures, Zen Technologies also disclosed several corporate developments in its filing. Its board approved the purchase of a 51.98% stake in Cogknit Semantics Private Limited for ₹135.15 crore on 17 October, subject to customary closing conditions. The company also said a fire at subsidiary Unistring Tech Solutions Private Limited on 18 October caused preliminary losses of about ₹4 crore, with the affected assets covered by insurance and the final assessment still pending. In addition, the board approved the voluntary strike-off of wholly owned subsidiary Zen Medical Technologies Private Limited, subject to regulatory approval.
