TAAL Tech reported a 41.6% year-on-year rise in revenue for the June quarter, with profits and turnover surging, as the company plans a stock split to enhance liquidity and retail participation amidst a buoyant engineering sector.
TAAL Tech is set to stay in focus after the engineering and digital technology group reported a sharp rise in June quarter earnings and the board approved a 1-for-5 stock split, a move designed to improve liquidity and widen retail participation. The company said the split, which still needs shareholder approval, would reduce the face value of each share from ₹10 to ₹2 without changing overall market capitalisation.
The latest quarter showed broad-based growth. According to results reported by Trade Brains and LiveMint, revenue from operations climbed 41.6% year on year to ₹64.81 crore in the quarter ended June, while total income rose to ₹67.90 crore. Profit before tax increased to ₹25.12 crore from ₹18.79 crore a year earlier, and net profit rose 41.7% to ₹19.43 crore. Basic earnings per share improved to ₹62.36 from ₹44.00, reflecting stronger operating leverage.
The company’s expense structure remained relatively restrained despite the expansion, with finance costs still negligible at ₹0.24 crore. That helped support margin expansion and underlined TAAL Tech’s debt-light balance sheet. Market data cited in the reports showed the stock trading at about ₹4,020, with a market value of roughly ₹1,252.77 crore.
Beyond the quarterly numbers, TAAL Tech also announced key board-level appointments and the reappointment of its statutory auditors, signalling a broader round of corporate housekeeping. The business, which serves global clients in aerospace, industrial equipment, transportation and heavy engineering through subsidiaries in the US, Switzerland and the UK, is operating in an industry that remains structurally supported by rising outsourcing, digital product development and investment in engineering research and development, according to IBEF.
