Swan Corp Ltd reported a ₹31 crore consolidated loss in the June quarter, driven by declines in distribution and development segments, even as its shipyard division saw a sharp rise, reflecting an uneven path to recovery.
Swan Corp Ltd swung to a consolidated loss of ₹31 crore in the June quarter, a sharp reversal from a profit of ₹19 crore a year earlier, as weaker revenue hit the diversified group’s latest results, according to The Hindu BusinessLine. The company’s revenue from operations fell 16% to ₹1,014 crore, extending a run of mixed performance after a strong March quarter that Business Standard said had delivered a consolidated profit of ₹268.68 crore.
The biggest drag came from the distribution and development business, which remained Swan Corp’s largest revenue contributor but slipped 20% to ₹899 crore, while construction and other activities fell 41% to ₹17 crore, the company’s quarterly disclosure showed. By contrast, the shipyard division posted a steep rise to ₹31 crore from just ₹42 lakh a year earlier, while textile revenue edged up 2% to ₹48 crore. Swan Corp operates across seven reportable segments, including energy, warehousing and manufacturing.
The latest numbers underline how uneven the company’s recovery has been over the past year. Business Standard reported a loss of ₹9.87 crore in the December 2025 quarter, after sales fell almost 40%, while ICICI Direct noted that the company’s full-year revenue for FY26 was down 11.48% year on year and net profit dropped 68.98%, even though the March quarter showed a sharp rebound.
Shares of Swan Corp ended Thursday at ₹308.45 on the BSE, up 0.21%, according to The Hindu BusinessLine. That modest market reaction suggests investors may be weighing the group’s improving shipyard contribution against the continued dependence on its lower-margin distribution and development business.
