A busy week from October 5 to 9 will see 14 stocks going ex-date for bonuses, splits, dividends, and buybacks, potentially energising market trading and investor participation.
A cluster of corporate actions will draw investors’ attention in the trading week from October 5 to 9, with 14 stocks set to turn ex-date across bonus issues, stock splits, dividends and buybacks. The busiest category is bonuses, while several familiar names, including NMDC, BLS E-Services, GTV Engineering, PTC India and Shankara Buildpro, are also on the list.
Among the bonus issues, P H Capital stands out with a 10-for-1 issue, meaning shareholders on the record date will receive ten additional shares for each share held. The company has fixed October 7, 2026, as both the record date and ex-date. GTV Engineering will also trade ex-bonus on October 7 for a 2-for-1 issue, which will similarly expand holdings for eligible investors. According to reports from market tracking platforms, GTV Engineering’s latest bonus follows a strong run in the stock, though the corporate action itself is aimed at increasing the number of outstanding shares rather than changing the underlying value of the holding.
The week’s other bonus actions come from Mold-Tek Technologies and Mold-Tek Packaging, both of which will go ex-bonus on October 9 for a 1-for-1 issue. In a bonus issue, companies distribute extra shares free of cost to existing shareholders, increasing the number of shares they hold while keeping the face value unchanged. For investors, the appeal is usually greater liquidity and a lower per-share price, rather than any immediate jump in economic value.
Stock splits will also be in focus. BLS E-Services will turn ex-split on October 6 for a 1-for-2 split, reducing the face value of each share from Rs 10 to Rs 5 and doubling the number of shares held. Shankara Buildpro will follow on October 8 with a 1-for-5 split, taking its face value from Rs 10 to Rs 2. Market observers often see splits as a way to make shares more affordable for retail investors and potentially improve trading activity.
Dividend seekers will have a smaller but notable set of payouts to watch. NMDC will trade ex-dividend on October 5 for a final dividend of Rs 5 per share, while PTC India will go ex-dividend on October 7 for Rs 5.50 a share. Accelya Solutions India is set to offer the largest payout in the group, with a final dividend of Rs 35 per share on October 9. Caspian Corporate Services and Skyways Air Services will also turn ex-dividend on October 9, with payouts of Rs 0.50 and Rs 0.25 per share respectively.
Buyback activity rounds out the week’s corporate calendar. Shardul Securities has fixed October 8 as the record date for a buyback worth up to Rs 115.2 crore, involving as many as 1.92 crore fully paid equity shares at Rs 60 apiece. Transport Corporation of India has set October 9 as the record date for a buyback of up to Rs 150 crore, under which it will repurchase 15.63 lakh shares at Rs 960 each. For investors, these actions can matter just as much as dividends or bonuses, since they affect both capital allocation and the supply of shares in the market.
