Kwick Forensic Solutions makes a stellar debut with over 66% rise on BSE SME listing

Kwick Forensic Solutions saw a strong stock market debut on Thursday, with shares surging 66.67% above issue price amid heavy subscription and rising demand for forensic technology services.

Kwick Forensic Solutions made a brisk market debut on Thursday, with its shares opening at Rs 150 on the BSE SME platform, a 66.67% premium to the issue price of Rs 90. The strong listing followed a heavily subscribed offering, signalling healthy demand for the forensic technology company’s public issue.

According to the offer details, the initial public offering raised Rs 50.77 crore through a mix of fresh equity and an offer for sale. The fresh issue accounted for 45.62 lakh shares worth Rs 41.05 crore, while existing shareholders sold 10.80 lakh shares for Rs 9.72 crore. The issue was open from August 27 to August 31, 2026, with allotment finalised on September 1.

Market data cited by 5paisa and Kotak Neo showed the IPO was oversubscribed 289 times overall, with retail demand particularly strong. Capitalmarket reported that the stock later traded between Rs 142.50 and Rs 157.50 on listing day, reflecting the volatility that often follows a well-received SME debut. Livemint said the company works in forensic sciences, fingerprint science, cyber and digital forensics, social media analytics and big data analytics, areas that have gained importance as law-enforcement agencies and investigators lean more heavily on technology.

The issue was priced in a band of Rs 85 to Rs 90 a share, and the minimum retail application size was 3,200 shares, requiring an investment of Rs 2.88 lakh at the upper end of the price band. For non-institutional investors, the minimum application was three lots, or 4,800 shares. Beeline Capital Advisors was the book-running lead manager, while Link Intime India handled registrar duties, according to 5paisa.
