Jubilant FoodWorks posts modest profit growth as overseas expansion and Popeyes drive revenue

Jubilant FoodWorks reports a 6% rise in quarterly net profit, driven by strong performances at Domino’s India and Popeyes, alongside rapid overseas expansion despite rising costs.

Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd reported a modest rise in quarterly profit as stronger sales at Domino’s India, Popeyes and its overseas business helped offset a heavier cost base, according to a regulatory filing cited by Business Standard. The company, which operates Domino’s Pizza and Popeyes in India and holds other food-service brands in overseas markets, said consolidated net profit rose 6% year on year to Rs 100 crore in the June quarter of FY27, from Rs 94.33 crore a year earlier.

Revenue from operations increased 14% to Rs 2,569.65 crore, while total income reached Rs 2,588.34 crore. EBITDA, or earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, climbed 10.2% to Rs 360 crore. Total expenses rose 14.28% to Rs 2,441.09 crore, showing that the company’s growth came alongside broadly higher operating costs.

Domino’s India remained the biggest contributor, with revenue up 7.4% to Rs 1,764.6 crore. The company said orders grew 6.5% and like-for-like sales, which measure performance at existing stores, rose 2.5% despite a stronger comparison base a year earlier. The Domino’s network now spans 540 cities, after expansion into 19 new cities during the quarter.

Popeyes continued to scale quickly, with revenue jumping 97% to Rs 70.3 crore and like-for-like growth above 40% for a third straight quarter. DP Eurasia, which operates in Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia, reported revenue growth of 28.2% to Rs 665.1 crore. Jubilant FoodWorks added a net 76 stores in the quarter, taking its global total to 3,712, while shares closed at Rs 492 on the BSE on Wednesday, up 1.53%.
