Indian dividend season broadens with key payouts spanning sectors and values in August 2026

A diverse array of Indian companies across banking, consumer, utilities, and defence sectors are set to pay dividends in August 2026, offering investors a wide spectrum of income opportunities amid sectoral breadth and varying payout sizes.

Dividend season is set to extend into the week of August 17 to August 21, 2026, with ten listed companies from banking, consumer, industrial, utilities, media and defence-linked shipbuilding lining up ex-dividend dates. For income-focused investors, the spread is notable not just for sector breadth but also for the range of payouts, from modest cash returns to several large interim and final dividends, according to Trade Brains.

Bandhan Bank, Manappuram Finance and SKF India will all trade ex-dividend on August 17. Trade Brains said Bandhan Bank has declared a dividend of Rs 1.50 a share, while Manappuram Finance has announced Rs 1 a share and SKF India has set an interim dividend of Rs 20 a share. Bandhan Bank’s latest dividend history, as tracked by Moneycontrol and LiveMint, also points to the same August 17 ex-dividend date and Rs 1.50 payout, with Simply Wall St noting that the bank’s dividend coverage and payout trends remain under close watch.

The following day, August 18, brings ex-dividend dates for Mahanagar Gas and Sun TV Network. Trade Brains reported a final dividend of Rs 18 a share for Mahanagar Gas and an interim dividend of Rs 5 a share for Sun TV Network. On August 19, the list becomes even more striking: Bata India will go ex-dividend for Rs 25 a share, CESC for Rs 6 a share and Page Industries for Rs 200 a share, which makes it the largest payout in the batch.

The final two names are Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders and LIC Housing Finance, which will turn ex-dividend on August 20 and August 21 respectively. Trade Brains said Mazagon Dock has announced a final dividend of Rs 4.62 a share, while LIC Housing Finance will pay a final dividend of Rs 10 a share. The mix underscores how dividend declarations continue to cut across India’s corporate landscape, from banks and financiers to consumer brands, utilities and defence manufacturing.
