Lalithaa Jewellery Mart, Shankesh Jewellers, and Sunshine Pictures are set to launch public issues worth ₹2,349 crore, signalling significant growth ambitions across retail, jewellery, and entertainment sectors in India.
Three public issues worth a combined ₹2,349 crore are set to open next week as Lalithaa Jewellery Mart, Shankesh Jewellers and Sunshine Pictures move to tap India’s primary market, according to the Deccan Chronicle.
The largest of the three is Lalithaa Jewellery Mart, the Chennai-based retailer, which plans to raise ₹1,700 crore through an offering priced at ₹190 to ₹201 a share. The issue runs from August 17 to August 19, 2026 and includes a fresh issue of ₹1,200 crore as well as an offer for sale of ₹500 crore by promoter Kiran Kumar Jain. The company says most of the fresh proceeds, about ₹990 crore, will go towards opening 20 new stores in Tamil Nadu and stocking them with inventory. Lalithaa currently operates 61 stores across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Puducherry.
The Economic Times reported that Lalithaa filed its draft prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Board of India to fund expansion beyond its southern base, and noted that the company also runs two manufacturing units in Tamil Nadu. Bar and Bench said the issue is being handled with legal advice from JSA Advocates and Solicitors, and that part of the stated aim is to support capital expenditure and general corporate purposes.
Shankesh Jewellers, based in Mumbai, is planning a ₹367 crore issue at ₹88 to ₹93 a share, opening on August 18 and closing on August 20, 2026. Its offer combines a fresh issue of ₹274.2 crore with an offer for sale of ₹93 crore by promoter shareholders. The company, which mainly works as a business-to-business supplier of handcrafted jewellery for major Indian brands, says the fresh capital will be used to repay ₹158 crore of debt and meet ₹38 crore in working capital needs.
Also opening on August 18 is Sunshine Pictures, the production house owned by filmmaker Vipul Shah. Its ₹282 crore issue is priced at ₹342 to ₹360 a share and closes on August 20, 2026. The company’s offer includes a fresh issue of ₹172.80 crore and an offer for sale of ₹109.33 crore by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Shefali Vipul Shah. Sunshine Pictures says it will use up to ₹112.5 crore of the fresh proceeds for working capital, with the rest earmarked for general corporate purposes. The company is involved in producing, marketing and distributing films, television serials and web series.
