Dabur India targets double-digit revenue growth amid geopolitical and inflation pressures

Dabur India aims for double-digit consolidated revenue growth by 2027, navigating geopolitical tensions, inflation, and supply-chain challenges while expanding premium offerings and international sourcing efforts.

Dabur India said it is aiming for double-digit consolidated revenue growth in fiscal 2027, but cautioned that the outlook remains tied to geopolitical conditions and a still uneven operating environment.

At the company’s 51st annual general meeting on Thursday, chief executive Mohit Malhotra said demand was holding up, with rural markets continuing to outperform cities. He said urban demand should recover gradually, while the broader consumer backdrop remains supported by stable consumption but restrained by weather disruptions, inflation and overseas tensions.

Malhotra said pricing, raw material costs and supply-chain pressures remain closely watched areas, particularly because of volatility in crude-linked inputs and packaging materials. He said Dabur plans to use a mix of selective price increases and cost controls to support margins while preserving volume growth.

Chairman Mohit Burman said India remains a strong consumer market, pointing to rising aspirations, premiumisation, digital adoption and growing interest in health and wellness. Dabur said its premium portfolio grew 10% year-on-year in fiscal 2026 and contributed 17% of sales, outpacing the core business.

Internationally, Malhotra said conflict and instability in West Asia have hurt performance in some Middle East and North Africa markets and disrupted supply chains across the region. He said Dabur is expanding alternative sourcing, including from India for the US and MENA markets, while freight and insurance costs have risen. The company has already introduced measured price increases in India and overseas to help offset those pressures.
